Hi, everyone!  I hope you're doing well.  I decided recently my website needed a little facelift, as well as a new logo.  Be sure to check out my website Jana Shoe Photography, and let me know what you think.

Atlanta Braves & Jason Heyward

I recently went to the opening day for the Atlanta Braves.  I was able to get very close to the field near the end of the game, where I shot these photos of Jason Heyward.  Let me know your thoughts!

Gracie

I recently spent several days in Tampa with Drew's family, and I took a few snapshots of his niece, Grace.  She is so adorable!

On the plane ride down, I had a row of three seats all to myself and I enjoyed every second!

Internship fun!

Below are some photos I've taken while on internship.  Let me know what you think!

Red Creole Onions

Last week I picked several blossoms from a red creole onion to photograph during my internship.  I wanted to show the different stages of the blossoms, which can be seen in these triptychs.  Let me know what you think!!

SEEN Magazine Photos!

Hi!  To my surprise this week, I found that several photos that I took at Dharma Lounge for the launch party of SEEN Magazine back in March were featured in the new April issue.  Below you will find a tear sheet from the actual magazine.

Internship Fun!

I'm having a blast during my internship with Erin L. Hubbs.  We have been on several interesting photo safaris where I was able to photograph a dead crow, as well as some baby bird eggs (no worries, the eggs had already fallen from their nest and there was no hope left).  Here are some images that I have been working on the last several weeks.  Let me know what you think! Nail Polish Namer

One of my dream jobs is to be the person who names nail polish.  This photo is dedicated to that dream...ha!

East Coast Bat Company

I was recently asked to create a direct mailer for East Coast Bat Company.  I used a photo I had already taken at the bat shop to use in the direct mailer.  Here is what I came up with in photoshop.  Let me know what you think!

More macro shots

My sister, Lauren's boyfriend gave her a bouquet of flowers and I thought this daisy was too pretty not to shoot.

East Coast Bat Company

In my multimedia class we had to make a video of the day in the life of someone.  I went to East Coast Bat Company and here is my video.

One of my favs

This is one of my favorite photos of my sister, Lauren.  I took the photo in a field close to our home and I love that I was able to catch her free spirit.

What is it?

I love finding new things around my house that I think would look cool when shot with my macro lens.  Do you know what this is?

Chocolate vs. Fruit

In my bio-comm object lighting class we had to photograph chocolate and have it portray being healthy.  I decided to shoot chocolate vs. fruit on a scale, showing that chocolate is better for you.  I wanted the concept to be very clean and simple.  This is the shot I decided to go with.  Let me know what you think.

A Day at the Vineyard

Each week in my bio-comm photojournalism class I had to shoot a 3 picture package and build a layout using Indesign.  I went to Rocky River Vineyards in Midland, NC to shoot this layout and was pleased with the images I shot.

Self Portrait

For my digital imaging class we were given an assignment to shoot a self portrait.  This is the photo I decided to use because I think it represents who I am as a person very well, and I like the split lighting as well.  It was shot with my Canon 40D, 28-135 mm lens at f/4.5 @ 1/125 second.  I also used an alien bee with an umbrella and a remote control.

This was my second favorite shot from the session.

Here are several shots of my set-up.
