Red Creole Onions
Last week I picked several blossoms from a red creole onion to photograph during my internship. I wanted to show the different stages of the blossoms, which can be seen in these triptychs. Let me know what you think!!

Focus Stacking
In my macro class, we had to focus stack an image. In order to do this, I had to use a focus stage and move it ever so slightly until the entire image was out of focus. I then stacked all 30 images in photoshop for the final image. First you will see the original image, followed by the stacked image.

This is one of my favorite photos of my sister, Lauren. I took the photo in a field close to our home and I love that I was able to catch her free spirit.

Glass - Light Field
In my macro class this week, we had to shoot glass. I chose to go with a lightbulb that doesn't work anymore. Here is what I came up with.

Jewelry
My sister-in-law's mother makes jewelry and she made me a piece that I fell in love with. I wanted to photograph it showing the depth and dimension. Here is the shot I chose to go with.

Peppermint Sticks
For my bio-comm object lighting class, we were asked to shoot something edible. I wanted to use peppermint sticks, so I traveled to Lexington to go to the candy shop, where I not only found the peppermint sticks, but also some other goodies. Here is the shot I decided to use.

Chocolate vs. Fruit
In my bio-comm object lighting class we had to photograph chocolate and have it portray being healthy. I decided to shoot chocolate vs. fruit on a scale, showing that chocolate is better for you. I wanted the concept to be very clean and simple. This is the shot I decided to go with. Let me know what you think.

A Day at the Vineyard
Each week in my bio-comm photojournalism class I had to shoot a 3 picture package and build a layout using Indesign. I went to Rocky River Vineyards in Midland, NC to shoot this layout and was pleased with the images I shot.

Panoramic
For my digital imaging class, we had to shoot a 180 degree panoramic. I went to Pfeiffer University in Richfield, NC because I knew the leaves would look very nice in the reflection of the water.

Fuji
I recently got a new puppy, Fuji, who of course had to have a name related to photography. While I was at a park shooting my panoramic shot for my digital imaging class I let Fuji run around, and here is a shot I got while she was being still for a few seconds.

Water Assignment
In my bio-comm object lighting class we had to shoot an assignment with water. I tried several different setups and objects, but ending up going with an apple, a colorful plate, and a kitchen faucet. Thanks to Drew for being patient with me for 2 hours, while I was trying to get the perfect shot. Here is my favorite from the session.
I also used some filters in photoshop and came up with this alternate image.
Here is a different crop of the above image. Which do you like best?

Self Portrait
For my digital imaging class we were given an assignment to shoot a self portrait. This is the photo I decided to use because I think it represents who I am as a person very well, and I like the split lighting as well. It was shot with my Canon 40D, 28-135 mm lens at f/4.5 @ 1/125 second. I also used an alien bee with an umbrella and a remote control.
This was my second favorite shot from the session.
Here are several shots of my set-up.
